Raw Honey Homemade Beauty Treatments and Pure Gold Raw Honey Review

Raw Honey Homemade Beauty Treatments and Pure Gold Raw Honey Review

I received three jars of Pure Gold Raw Honey from Mercola.com in exchange for this review so I thought that I would share a few delicious honey recipes and homemade beauty treatments in honor of Earth day.

Pure Gold Raw Honey Review Dr. Mercola’s raw honey tastes so good! It’s not like the gooey liquid you squeeze out of those plastic bottles. It’s raw and unprocessed so it contains little flecks of healthful enzymes, pollen, and proteins. This makes it superior to the clear processed and filtered honey most of us are used to seeing in stores. Grant just scooped it out onto a toasted bagel and it was awesome! I usually don’t like plain honey, I like to cook with it or add it to peanut butter but this raw honey is great right out of the jar, it’s good for you and even though it’s 50% sweeter than sugar it’s still the safest sugar to use.

Pure Gold Raw Honey:

  • Helps to boost your energy naturally
  • Unfiltered and uncooked to give you a rich, fulfilling taste with all the nutritious benefits
  • Pesticide-free for your peace of mind
  • No refrigeration needed — for your convenience anywhere, anytime

The beehives that the Pure Gold honey comes from are kept in fields free from pesticides and herbicides and the honeybees are free to collect nectar from wild flowers.

For a super quick dessert I mixed one tablespoon of the honey with 1/4 cup of water and 3 cups of chopped strawberries, poured it over angel food cake and topped it with fresh vanilla bean whipped cream. Everyone loved it! The honey was a healthier way to bump up the sweetness of the strawberries instead of adding sugar. It also added antioxidants, enzymes, and amino acids.

Honey is also great for your skin, especially raw honey. It contains tons of vitamins, antioxidants and polyphenols that kill free-radicals which contribute to the skin aging process. Honey also has anti-inflammatory properties that help clear up acne prone skin.

Acne Prone Skin Mask

  • 1 tbsp. raw honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • If you have acne scars or dark spots add 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon

Mix well to make an easy, all natural skin mask. The additional cinnamon will help to fade acne scars or dark spots and brighten skin. Spread over your face with your hand and let it dry for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Moisturizing Dry Skin Mask

  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp. avocado

Mix well and spread onto face with fingers. Relax and let your skin absorb the mixture for thirty minutes then wash off with warm water.

Damaged or Dry Hair Treatment Mask

  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 2 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 2 egg yolks

Mix well and massage into clean, damp hair. Loosely pile hair on top of your head and cover with a shower cap for 25 to 30 minutes. Rinse well with warm water.

Honey and Sugar Body Scrub

  • 1/4 cup raw honey
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil

Mix together well and use as an all-over body scrub in the shower.
